    IDS MISSION STATEMENT

    The INTERIOR DESIGN SOCIETY (IDS) is a professional association serving the DESIGN COMMUNITY with the focus of helping our membersgrow their businesses, develop their talents, inspire each other, and impact their communities.

    OUR HISTORY

    The national headquarters for the INTERIOR DESIGN SOCIETY is located in High Point, NC, the home furnishings capital of the world. IDS wasinitially founded in 1973 by the National Home Furnishings Association with a goal of supporting interior designers working in furniturestores. IDS has long since elevated and expanded its FOCUS to provide support to professional interior design entrepreneurs nationwide.

    OUR LOCAL IDS CHAPTER

    To be eligible to join and be a member of our LOCAL IDS Palm Springs Chapter, you must also have an IDS national membership that is current and in good standing. Our local annual dues are $75.00 which help fund our operating expenses.

    BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS IN THE BUSINESS OF DESIGN

    One of the country's largest design organizations dedicated to serving the residential interior design industry, IDS embraces four core values including professionalism, community, influence and growth.

    We are a group of like-minded professionals who are interested in networking, information sharing, and continued education. Our local IDS Chapter offers its members a PLACE TO BELONG within a supportive design community with opportunities for professional development.

    The INTERIOR DESIGN SOCIETY is a national association of professional design ENTREPRENEURS focused on helping our members grow their businesses, develop their talents, inspire each other, and impact their communities.
